DuPont opens new
technical center in Russia
DuPont opened a technical center near Moscow to support Russian manufacturers who use the company’s titanium dioxide (TiO2) products in the country’s rapidly expanding coatings, plastics and paper industries.
“Russia is one of the fastest growing markets for TiO2 in the world because of the rapid expansion of industries producing consumer goods,” said Rick Olson, vice president and general manager, DuPont Titanium Technologies.  “Increased demand for TiO2 usually signals the emergence of more affluent consumers who are interested in high-quality home improvement products that incorporate TiO2.  This facility demonstrates our strategy of going where the growth is and locating near our customers.”
The new technical center in the city of Dzerzhinsk is co-located with the Radian Company, DuPont’s distributor of titanium dioxide in Russia.  TiO2 specialists in the new facility will work with formulators of finishes and plastics as well as paper manufacturers on the most efficient and effective ways of incorporating TiO2 into their products.
